Sorry for necro-ing, but the installer only goes so far into choosing the language, then the application goes minimized and can't display anything. Using "run as administrator" still produces the same result. Is there any solution?

To everyone that still crashes after first time Desmond leaves the Animus:

Change the default shortcut target application to assassincreedIIgame.exe, run as administrator
In the installation folder, go to "scripts" folder and delete/rename files named "unlocker.boot", "unlocker.ini"
Uplay, preorder ...
