please try this repack if xbox pad does not work. I use wired generic x360 pad, not x0ne or other pads, maybe they are different?

it should work by default and be preconfigured for x360 pad. if you have another pad type you need to open the emulator (dolphin.exe) and go to controllers and set the controls to your controller. good luck. I cannot support any further.

can any other user confirm if 360pads work for them or not ...

if the game launches in russian for others, and editing the ini fails, try these steps

select third option in main menu
go to the second tab
and change the option that says 'русский'

that was pre-release files, not proper crack game files from rune.
