Pirated games mess up legit Steam games

Do you have to have steam open when you run your cracked games?

Most likely not repackers fault, rather the crack. In your case cracker was Tenoke. In general its a good idea to keep legit games well seperated from cracked games to avoid problems on both sides.

some cracks do change reg info more the steam file location so it dont use legit steam files but points to the patched files instead
you can get around this by closing legit steam before you run the cracked game and relaunching legit steam will fix that reg again making it act normal
