Complain about KaosKrew Repack

Age of Mythology Retold was released a few days ago. I have been waiting for this remake for a long time, so I downloaded it today. KaOsKrew's repack. I have been using KaOs repack for quite some time because Dodi and fitgirl often don't update their repacks but KaOs always has the latest version. Reddit also has a good reputation. I haven't had any problems so far.Once downloaded, I installed it on my D drive, that is, I have two drives of 1 terabyte, one of which is just for the game. After the installation started, I saw that the game files are being directly dumped in my D drive because I selected D drive while setting the install directory but did not create any new folder in it. That is, data, redist do not have these folders? They are scattered across my drive. This kind of mistake happens to me sometimes. I think that the installer itself creates a folder in the name of the game and extracts all the files in it. doesn't matter I canceled the install.Immediately I see that the folders of my drive are disappearing one by one. There were 800 GB of games, all deleted within seconds. Just have the setup file of this game. I have never experienced this in my life. Immediately I searched, I saw that this did not happen only to me. While canceling the installation in the same way, even uninstalling KaOs game, the entire drive has been wiped out.Apparently there is a problem in the coding of the KaOs installer due to which the entire folder in which a game file goes is considered as the game folder. And during uninstallation or install cancellation, the files of just game are not deleted selectively (as all other installers in the world do) but the entire folder is deleted. So because of this, if you create a separate new folder and install in it then there should be no problem. But if you act like a fool like me then big problem.Luckily it was a separate partition for just game. I wonder if I had only one partition or installed this game on a drive where I have important pics or documents! Thankfully, all the games have been deleted, some of which I downloaded from steam for the last 6 hours, and some of the setup files were backed up elsewhere and installed. And some old rare game's setup files were in D drive which I forgot to take backup so they might be lost forever. I don't even remember what game was in him. This is education, so I came to inform those who do not know. I'm never using KaOs repack ever again.

Try install in the drive where you have plenty of data but without any folder, than uninstall.. After that you are welcome here to continue your conversation.
Other repack identified the only game file and uninstall that, but in this case the kk uninstaller wiped the whole drive when it doesnt find any folder.

Why the hell would I do that? I know how to properly install my games and installing to root certainly isn't the proper way.

yes that issue was indeed an installer bug what should not have happened, our apologies for your loss of data. but hey, how many people actually want there game installing directly to the root of a drive, that is the reason it went unnoticed for so long, we actually use 3 maybe 4 different installers (each repacker has there own) and the bug only effected one of them as far as i am aware. the issue was recently fixed, retold was probably the last game to use the buggy version.
