In the PC version of Until Dawn Remake (V1.08), a major bug in Chapter 7 prevents progress when controlling Emily in the mines.
Bug Description:
During this sequence, Emily is holding a torch while climbing a ladder. After reaching the top, she puts the torch down, but the ladder collapses, causing her to fall deeper into the mines. She then takes out her phone to use as a light source. When the flashlight turns on, a jumpscare occurs. After walking a short distance, a loud, monstrous scream is heard in the mines. If the player continues forward, the screen goes black, and after a few moments, the loading screen appears and never goes away, making it impossible to proceed.
Troubleshooting Attempts:
Graphics Settings: I tested all available settings, but the issue persists. I usually play on high settings with a stable 60 FPS.
Resolution: I tried changing both the in-game and monitor resolution, but it didn’t help.
Drivers: I checked and confirmed that all my drivers are up to date.
Compatibility Settings: I set the game to run in Windows 8 compatibility mode and also added -legacypso at the end of the target path, but the issue remained.
DirectX Versions: I tested both DX11 and DX12, but the bug occurred in both modes.
I tried turning AMD fsr off and on, but the error came up the same way
