Hi everyone,

I'm having some trouble transferring my old save files from Euro.Truck.Simulator.2.v1.55.1.0s.REPACK-KaOs to E:\camih\Downloads\Euro.Truck.Simulator.2.v1.56.1.0s.REPACK-KaOs.

Here’s what’s going on:

Old Installation: I was using a KaOs Repack version of ETS2, and my saved profiles were stored in steam_profiles under the game’s directory.

Game installation: E:\Games\Euro.Truck.Simulator.2.REPACK-KaOs
Game directory: E:\Games\Euro.Truck.Simulator.2.REPACK-KaOs\ETS2_Data

Launcher command: E:\Games\Euro.Truck.Simulator.2.REPACK-KaOs\bin\win_x64\eurotrucks2.exe -homedir "E:\Games\Euro.Truck.Simulator.2.REPACK-KaOs\ETS2_Data\ETS2_Data"

New Install: I’ve now switched to a fresh, standalone version of ETS2, but I want to use my old save files. I’ve tried copying my old profiles into the new game's profiles folder, but the game is still not recognizing them properly. Instead, the game seems to be creating a new profile and trying to sync with Steam Cloud again (even though I’m not using Steam).

What I’ve Tried:

I've deleted everything in ETS2_Data and relaunched the game, and it's syncing an old profile from who knows where.

I've attempted to amend config.cfg in ETS2_Data so i can disable Cloud saved: g_use_steam_cloud "0" -- but config.cfg resync's on launch, removing amendments.

What’s Happening:

Every time I launch the game, it’s either not recognizing the old profiles or it creates new ones and syncs with Steam Cloud, despite the settings.

Can anyone help me understand how to properly reintegrate my old profiles into this new standalone install? Or if there’s something I’m missing in the configuration files, could someone point me in the right direction?

'''additional note: It's likely something to do with steam_api64.dll --- I'm going to take a guess that there are some calls to resync a dummy steam profile or something ?

I’d really appreciate any advice or tips!

Thanks in advance!
