Desktop shortcut points to the wrong exe. Must run "\Word\Etc\doot\effc\MyPanel\Dread dawn.exe".

Just so you know, this game is one nasty motherfucker. I installed it today and after an hour or so of playing it stopped and displayed a window with "the current game version is not the latest", asking me to update in steam.
Inquiring on the matter in cs.rin.ru I found a whole thread talking about this. Apparently the game is updated 2-3 times per week and it has some sort of DRM that checks on an expiration date, each build has an expiration date and the only way to keep it working is to keep it updated.
Thankfully the guys there are posting each update. To make KaOs release to work (dated 5 Jan) I had to install updates B16885783 to B16910011 and B16910011 to B16927199, available there. Now it works fine until it will get outdated again in some days.
According to the people in cs.rin that investigated this thing, there is no way around. Disconnecting internet doesn't work, firewalling the exes won't work either. Making the game run in Steam emulation also doesn't work, Get the updates and keep it rolling.

thanx for the nfo, rune released a fix shortly after the game what apparently stops the update check, i have not tried it myself but here it is for those who would like to.
