Toy soldiers and Windows Live

I installed Toy soldiers and I had Windows Live pop up asking me to sign in. I had thought this game was cracked or would have at least given me a key gen if it was going to do this. Is there a Key gen I didn't get a crack. The only thing I would think that is a cracked part is the SKIDROW.dll and the d3drm.dll. I have tried the game with and without d3drm.dll. But the game will not launch without the SKIDROW.dll

you have to open an offline account with windows live. from what I can remember the offline account button was small and not easy to notice at first glance,

The only thing it has is "sign in with another account" So I made a new Live account to sign in with. But it still asks me for a product key

All you have to do is create an offline account also known as a local profile. The buttons are generally small. Just look out for it. It has to be there somewhere. Creating a live online account won't help.
