Sniper.Elite.3.FIX.UPDATE-KaOs

this fix will correct the alpha texture issue and apply update v1.02.


1: unrar Sniper.Elite.3-KaOs manually. (do not use install.exe)

2: unrar the contents of this archive to the same folder. (overwrite the old ~unpack~.bat)

3: run ~unpack~.bat as administrator. (some users may need to run normally)

4: Play the game.

it is not possible for this fix to patch the game after it has already been installed.

I extracted all the files manually. (Folder has .pak files, unpack.dll and unpack.bat). Copied the fix into that folder and the unpack.bat got replaced also envs folder was added.
How ever when I run unpack.bat as administrator I get the following error.(Also tried copying the install.exe and d3drm.dll into the same folder)

This Process May Apear To Get Stuck, Please Leave It To Extract...

How to fix this?

sounds like you run out of hdd space. at a guess i would say you need roughly 30gig free to install the actual release, theres a warning about it in the nfo.

That's weird I have about 450GB left on the drive I'm installing. Why is it looking for kaOs.arc in C:\Windows\system32 when I'm installing on another drive?

did you try running it as administrator? if that doesnt work try without

Tried only as administrator. Since it didn't work I just used the install.exe and copied the fix files to the unpacking dir before the batch script started.
Looks like it worked(no probs so far and the tree glitch is no more) . Any how nice fix and thanks for the help.

Could Not Find C:\Windows\system32\KaOs.arc

it seems your system is changing the drive dir when you run it as administrator
just try double click the bat file if your already logged in as administrator then theres no need to set it to run as administrator or the default dir will always be c:\windows\system32 and we would never install anything in that dir

so just run bat as normal it all should work fine or if that still dont work right click on bat file edit it and on the first line add this
cd c:\games\Sniper.Elite.3-KaOs
or any other folder you installing game to that will make bat file move out of system32 dir and to the drive it should be in
