seems to be be a frequent issue recently with msq releases, i have no idea what causes it but i do know it has never happened to myself wile installing them or other members of the krew, so its a head scratcher for sure lol

you could try the usual stuff like enable the low hardware mode on the installer or try install the game in windows safe mode (installer may not stat in safe mode i am unsure) or you could even try playing with the compatibility options (maybe try window8 mode)

ok i remember the solution if you have stored the game on the backup disk or any external disk, put it on the desktop and start the installation from there then it works.
